Stina Persson – vibrant artist with edge and watercolor in motion

Stina Persson is a Swedish artist and illustrator based in Stockholm, with a rich background in art studies in Perugia, Florence, and New York. Her signature style combines handcrafted techniques – watercolor, ink, and collage – with an elegant and vivid aesthetic. With a love for the “imperfect,” she strives to create spontaneous and organic art with emotional depth.

Stina has collaborated with global brands such as Nike, Louis Vuitton, Veuve Clicquot, L’Oréal, and Vogue Japan, and her works have been exhibited in galleries and shows across the US, Japan, Sweden, Estonia, and Poland. Her artistic process is a celebration of the handmade – where every brushstroke and paper fragment carries authenticity and the joy of creation.

What’s your favorite moment for a cup?

“In the morning sun on some stairway somewhere.

For me, the first cup of coffee and the evening’s cup of rooibos tea are exactly the kind of luxury I love. It’s simple, it can be shared, and it doesn’t cost a fortune.

Ideally, I’m sitting with my cup on the steps of a cottage listening to the blackbird, or walking barefoot across terracotta tiles in Italy with a steaming cappuccino before soaking in the warmth of autumn.

Or my second cup, which I treat myself to every day at Café Blå Lotus, right next to my studio. I’ve been drinking coffee there for twenty years – and have made friends for life.

I love luxury you can afford. Luxury simply because it is luxury to me.”
